My Turn to Cry, Exo, Kpop

K-pop rarely shies away from capitalising on holiday cheer – hence the barrage of Christmas songs and albums released since the beginning of December.

Fresh off the presses from SM Entertainment is from Exo-K's Miracles in December, a 6-track EP of holiday-flecked R&B. My Turn to Cry is a jangly acoustic number with sweet, slightly sleepy vocal, reminiscent of the crooning Western boy-banders of yesteryear.

Six-membered boy band Exo-K are comprised of half of the larger group Exo, who perform mostly in Korea, while their brother group Exo-M performs in China with Chinese versions of the same songs.

After a successful year of promoting their first full-lengh album, Miracles in December is mostly a throwaway EP to tide fans over until the frantic hit-making producers at SM Entertainment conjure up more radio-friendly hits next year.
